Created by Brain Farm Productions in association with Red Bull, The Art of Flight is a film following a group of top notch snowboarders in a journey to the most incredible places across the globe where the beauty of nature meets the skills and most of all the guts, of some of the game’s top players such as Travis Rice and Jeremy Jones. In this new breed of adventure yet action movie, from the mountains of Chile and Romania all the way to Patagonia and Canada, the 9 member strong group rides the most dangerous and steepest slopes and makes it look like child’s play. What makes the movie so amazing are the images of almost surreal landscapes surrounding them combined with state of the art film making technology of hardcore snowboarding action which yields a literally jaw-dropping result. For all this to be done there is a whole backup network behind providing the group with snowmobiles, vans and even helicopters that take them all the way to the top of the mountains and film them while they ride all the way down. It’s not all about fun and play though since the challenges they face due to extreme weather conditions in British Columbia, a volcanic eruption in Chile and unapproachable terrain in Patagonia are quite a few, as well as the injuries that some of the riders sustain while filming in the US. The gaps and drops they nail will probably leave you speechless but just when you thought it couldn’t get any crazier, Jeremy Jones starts a downhill free ride with a camera on his head just before the end so that you can see first-hand how it feels like to ride a slope that is almost completely vertical. Bottom line is even for those of you who are not into snowboarding that much this film will definitely get your attention and leave you wondering how any of this can be possible, and those of you who are will leave you planning the next time you will be sliding down the mountain
