Ken Block VS Ricky Carmichael.

Both of them are legends in their game. One of them sits on four wheels and the other one on two, and when they're ready for take off make sure that you fasten your seatbelt because you're in for one hell of a ride. Ladies and Gentlemen Ken Block and Ricky Carmichael

Ken Block, a Long Beach native, is a well known rally racing driver who started his career in 2005 with Vermont SportsCar team who provided him with his first racing car, a Subaru WRX STi. That same year he ended up winning an award as the Rookie of the Year while earning a series of good positions in all the events he competed in. A year later, along with his teammate in the DC rally team at the time and famous motocross racer, Travis Pastrana, he signed a sponsorship deal with Subaru and competed in the first ever X Games rally event at the 12th X Games. In 2007 he managed to enter in a few rounds of the World Rally Championship that took place in Mexico and New Zealand and a year later he was drove a brand new Subaru WRX STi in the Canadian Rally Championship, in which he won the first place, in order to be prepared for the World Rally Championship that took place in 2008. In the next X Games he competed, he ended up third along with famous bmx rider Dave Mirra who also happens to be a rally racing driver. At the moment Block who is also part of the Monster World Rally Team, is scheduled to compete in some rounds of the World Rally Championship, the Rally America Championship as well as his 5th X Games of his career. Except his rallying skills Block has been involved in the field of action and extreme sports in quite a long time being a skateboarder a snowboarder and motocross racer himself, as well as the co founder of DC shoe and clothing company which started out as a small brand designing shoes for skateboarders and growing to one of the most famous extreme sports brands today.

Ricky Carmichael started out as a member of the Monster Energy Kawasaki team back in 1997 and like Block he ended up winning the Rookie of the year trophy. In the 1998 season he won all 8 main events of the 125 East Region as well as the East/West Shootout. A year later despite a series of crashes that prevented him from even making to the top ten overall, Carmichael shredded the Outdoors winning his third title in a row. In the years to come he dominated the outdoors having memorable battles with Sebastien Tortelli and Kevin Windham. In 2002 he switched to Honda winning all 24 races of the 2002 National season, an achievement that no athlete had accomplished up to that time, and two years later despite suffering a very serious injury he did it again winning all 24 of the races he participated in, as well as all 12 overalls on his Honda CRF450 bike. His winning streak continued in 2005 as Carmichael regained his super x title back, and won all 12 events of the 250cc Outdoor National Championship. As years went by he only raced on a limited amount of events and in 2007 he not only won the X-Games, but was also a member of Team USA which won the Motocross of Nations trophy. His most recent achievement is the 2009 Nascar Camping World Most Popular Driver Award. Carmichael is currently following a stock car driver career as the Number 4 Monster Energy Chevrolet Silverado for Turner Motorsports in the Camping World Car Series.
